SAUCE
My name is Paul Garvin and
I make SIDS SAUCE in New Plymouth. I use locally grown
ingredients where possible and it is all GE free. SIDS SAUCE is
unique as there are no artificial flavours or colours,
nut products, eggs, legumes, lactose, soya, or wheat in any of
it. It is also gluten free (except for the HOT
SAUCE & SMOKEY GARLIC
SAUCE, which is made from Malt Vinegar). SIDS
SAUCE does not need to be refrigerated so it is safe to take
away to the beach, BBQ’s, camping, parties etc. I
personally guarantee every bottle.

ALBANS PAVILION AND POOL GROUP
In March 2010, we were
successful in our tender for the land at the old Edgeware Pool
site from the Christchurch City Council. We have also been
extremely lucky in getting a backer for $2.5m that is required to rebuild
an outdoor swimming pool and pavilion. Now our
vision of a beautiful landscaped gardens with picnic areas
surrounding a modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly
pool will be a reality. We aim to create an urban oasis right in the heart
of Saint Albans.
But there
is still a lot of work to be done, and a lot of money to be
raised. There will be legal costs, council consents, engineers
lighting & sound reports etc. And once the pool is built, there
will be operational costs, insurances, rates etc.
So PLEASE
be generous
with your donations, pledges and sponsorship etc.

STONE
GROOVES
Ruth Killoran formed Stone
Grooves as a platform to design and carve original sculptures
from New Zealand stone. She likes to have direct contact with
the stone and so carves by hand, directly and intuitively, being
guided by the natural flow of the stone. Ruth transfers her
initial sketch ideas into the stone and she aims to bring light
through the form at different angles to create areas that glow
and contrast with areas of deep shadow. She is led by the form
and features that are unique to each piece of stone. Ruth uses
mainly Oamaru stone but also likes to experiment with other
stone too. Mt Somers and Waikari stone are used, with
outstanding results. Ruth also sells blocks of Oamaru stone
through her website for other sculptors to buy.

IAN SUTTON
Ian Sutton hails from Pirongia and is the man behind some of New
Zealand's favourite recycled wooden garden art. They include his
extremely popular raupo wind wands, mushrooms and bird feeders.
He also makes beautiful turned wooden bowls. No one knows wood
