COASTAL VISION
"New
Beginnings" is how I see my work. A fresh use of colour and
texture creating a classic look. My inspiration for my art work
comes from what I see around me, from waking in the morning to
the sound and view of the ocean waves crashing onto the beach
with a beautiful sunrise awaking a New Day. The power of the
ocean on a stormy day gives me the spirit to capture its force
and energy on canvas -- it's controllable force. I like my art
to be open to what people see in it. As we see things in all
different ways, a piece of work could look like the deep sea and
clouds to one person where for another it could be waves
crashing on the beach, but with both looking at the same piece
of work.

GOURMET FOODS
"A fudge to die for" is how
Conaghan's Gourmet Fudge has been described by many of their
customers. Their signature fudge is Killer Fudge" and as one
happy customer said at the Wellington Show "this fudge is better
than sex". Anne and Jim have been making fudge professionally
for twenty one years, but their experience in fudgemaking goes
back longer than that to when Jim was an apprentice pastrycook
in the 50's, and to when Anne learnt sweet making from her
father when she was a young girl. They also produce a range of
gourmet relishes, pickles and chutneys.
